Clinch River is formed by the junction of two forks in southwest Virginia, and flowing generally southwest across east Tennessee to the Tennessee River at Kingston. At its mouth the Clinch River forms Watts Bar Reservoir. The river is an important part of the Tennessee Valley Authority system.
